DISTORTED: New Album To Feature Guest Appearances By THERION, ABORTED Members
November 14, 2007Female-fronted Israeli metal stalwarts DISTORTED are about to enter Underground Studios with producer Pelle Seather to record the follow-up to their 2006 album "Memorial".
Vocalist Miri Milman comments: "We are extremely thrilled about the new material. It has been a couple of intense months for us, focusing on nothing but the writing and every little detail.
"The new album is going to be a huge leap forward for DISTORTED; everything just fits together. The material is more mature, catchy and intense at the same time whilst keeping the oriental melodies and singing that marked our style before, it just takes it to a whole new level."
To complete the package, DISTORTED's new album is going to feature guest appearances by Thomas Vikström (THERION, ex-CANDLEMASS),Lisa Johansson (DRACONIAN) and Sven De Caluwe (ABORTED),who will also handle the artwork for the record. An early 2008 release via Candlelight Records is expected.
A six-minute video clip containing interview and performance footage of DISTORTED can be viewed below (footage taken by Israel's Ynet).
DISTORTED recently posted its video for the song "Children of Fall" on YouTube. The clip was filmed by Arkadi Bronsthein, Sergey Chorich and Nishma and was edited by Sven De Caluwe of Avernus Studios. The track comes off the group's full-length debut, "Memorial", which was released in Europe in May 2006 via France's Bad Reputation Records. The CD, which was issued in Israel in March 2006 via NMC Records, was recorded in February 2005 at Underground Studio in Sweden under the watchful eye of Pelle Seather.
